On January 16th, the demolition and renovation EPC project of the 3# hot blast stove of the 1# blast furnace at Serbia's Smederevo Steel Mill, undertaken by Zhengzhou ANNEC, was successfully completed and ignited for baking.
After long years of operation, the 3# internal combustion hot blast stove of the 1# blast furnace at Smederevo Steel Mill had problems such as reduced heat storage efficiency, high energy consumption, and potential structural safety hazards. To meet the EU's new environmental regulations and industrial upgrading needs, ANNEC adopted the cone-column rotary cut top-fired hot blast stove for technical renovation. Since the launch of the renovation project, ANNEC has set up a professional technical team and a project management department, formulated detailed work plans for design, manufacturing, demolition, construction, installation, etc., and the project team has organized and carried out various tasks in an orderly manner.
During the construction and installation process, ANNEC adopted measures such as modular decomposition and mechanized operation, successfully solving the problems of narrow operation space and interfaces with surrounding production facilities. The project department carried forward a high sense of collaboration and professional quality, strictly controlled the quality and progress of construction and installation, and completed all renovation tasks ahead of schedule. The project team always put safety management at the forefront, and through daily safety meetings and full-process video monitoring, achieved the excellent HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) management goal of "zero accidents, zero pollution, zero complaints", winning high praise from the owner and the local government.
The renovated hot blast stove will achieve three core breakthroughs: first, the stability of wind temperature is significantly improved, reaching above 1250℃, helping to increase the blast furnace smelting efficiency by 15%; second, environmental indicators are fully up to standard, the carbon monoxide content in waste gas is reduced to below 100PPM, meeting the EU's strictest environmental requirements; third, the service life is more than 10 years, and it is equipped with a flexibly removable and replaceable burner structure, which greatly reduces the later operation and maintenance costs. At the project acceptance meeting, the person in charge of the Serbian steel mill highly praised ANNEC's technical strength and performance capacity, commenting that the project "not only solves the pain points of the enterprise's production, but also provides a high-quality model for the transformation and upgrading of Serbia's iron and steel enterprises".
The successful completion of this project is another important achievement of ANNEC's deep engagement in the overseas industrial engineering field. It not only demonstrates the mature experience of Chinese engineering technology in the transformation of iron and steel enterprises, but also deepens the industrial cooperation between China and Serbia under the Belt and Road Initiative. Furthermore, through the outstanding wisdom and systematic tackling of key problems by the ANNEC team, the project has been transformed into a wonderful answer sheet showing "Chinese speed" and "Chinese quality".
